General Laborer

Modern Staffing is currently looking for General Laborers for a cement manufacturing company located in San Marcos, TX:

Job Description:

As entry level employees, general laborers perform a variety of tasks- including unskilled or semi-skilled duties.
As a general laborer advances by learning and applying the basic skills required within the assigned department, adopting safe and responsible work habits, maintaining a good attendance record, gaining a general understanding of plant operations, improving personal productivity, and demonstrating the ability to perform required tasks accurately under moderate supervision. Depending on job assignment/department, skills and or processes may include the following:

Job Duties:

• Tying rebar
• Placing concrete
• Operating concrete vibrator
• Routine patching of structural concrete
• Pulling strand
• Setting and fastening forms
• Testing concrete cylinders
• Rigging or handling concrete by crane
• Operating rotary hammer

Physical requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Positions may require frequent lifting, pulling/pushing, standing, bending, etc.
Must have steel toed boots, safety glasses, work gloves.
Company will provide the rest of the PPE needed-hard hard, safety vest...and any other PPE that may be needed when on-site.

Compensation:

$15/HR

Work Schedule:

5am-2pm or 6am- 3pm
