Modern Staffing is seeking a qualified Senior Staff Accountant for a local manufacturing company in New Braunfels, TX:
JOB SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of this position is to perform various accounting job duties to meet deadlines in a timely manner and other related duties as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monthly journal entries.
- Cash, A/P and A/R sub-ledgers reconciliation.
- Financial report preparation.
- Maintain Inventory – Raw materials and WIP.
- Cycle Count Selection and Adjustments.
- Manage Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory and E&O inventory utilization.
- Lead Physical Inventory Coordination and Posting.
- Review Purchase Price Variance & Inventory revaluation transactions.
- Review and coordinate internal indirect jobs.
- Inventory cost roll.
- Maintain all aspects of Fixed Assets.
- Maintain Fixed Assets database.
- Conduct Fixed Asset Inventory Verification.
- Job Cost Reporting.
- Participate in other finance and management projects.
- Other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 2 years' accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 plus years of related accounting experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a bachelor's degree in business with emphasis in accounting is REQUIRED.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED).
- Detail oriented with high level of attention to financial accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Highly skilled in dealing with financial and numerical data.
- Experienced in Excel spreadsheets and other accounting software. MS Excel technical skills – Pivot tables, VLookup, etc.; Functional Skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment that requires the management of multiple projects at one time.
- Willingness to work the hours necessary to complete a task or project
- Ability to meet important deadlines in which may cause greater than normal departmental pressures.
- Excellent professional demeanor and the ability to collaborate with other departments
- Ability to work beyond a standard 8-hour day during the financial close and other occasions, when necessary, potentially including weekends and holidays.
WORK SCHEDULE:
8-Hour Shift
Monday - Friday
7:30am - 4:30pm
SALARY RANGE:
$55k - $70k/Annual
