Modern Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Case Manager for a non-profit agency located in New Braunfels, TX:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide advocacy and case management for all clients across agency departments without bias.
- Work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays as assigned.
- Serve as part of the on-call team, responding promptly to crisis calls and creating a safe, supportive environment.
- Direct and support safety planning and family violence education for callers and shelter residents.
- Coordinate with leadership to arrange emergency transportation for incoming clients.
- Oversee and support client intake processes to ensure smooth and compassionate transitions into crisis shelter.
- Provide ongoing crisis intervention and support for shelter residents.
- Coordinate and arrange transportation for clients as needed.
- Lead house meetings, sassing chores, and conduct shelter orientations for new clients.
- Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of client case management plans, adjusting goals as needed.
- Conduct classes or group sessions to help clients meet goals and achieve successful discharge outcomes.
- Maintain professional relationships with community providers and resource contracts.
- Direct and support case aides in assisting clients with daily and weekly goals.
- Support crisis shelter staff in maintaining supply and common areas.
- Ensure adherence to shelter guidelines, policies, and procedures to promote a calm and safe environment.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in client files and case management systems.
- Attend staff meetings, case reviews, and trainings as scheduled.
- Uphold confidentiality in all matters related to clients and the agency.
- Maintain accurate case management records and database information.
- Assist the shelter director with resident issues and concerns.
- Actively support and promote the mission, vision, and values of the crisis shelter.
- Assist with fundraising activities and events as needed.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; 10+ years of related work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or a related field is preferred.
- 1-2 years’ experience as a Case Manager required.
- Knowledge of domestic violence, sexual assault, and homelessness dynamics.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and insured personal vehicle required.
- Ability to work flexible shifts.
- Training is preferred in crisis intervention, trauma, suicide prevention, substance abuse, and family violence.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Exposure to0 communicable diseases and clients with addition or psychiatric disorders.
- Occasional contact with hostile or angry clients.

SHIFTS: 7:00am-3:00pm; 3:00pm-11:00pm (must be flexible to work either shift as needed)
