Modern Staffing is recruiting for an experienced electrician for a short-term temporary job for an electrical contracting company located in New Braunfels, TX:JOB SUMMARY:
This position involves installing wiring, outlet boxes, and conduit in a commercial hospitality location according to blueprints. Qualified journeyman or apprentice electricians will perform high-volume rough-ins, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Rough-in electrical systems: Install wiring, electrical boxes, conduit, and low-voltage cabling in hotel guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret electrical blueprints and schematics to plan layout and routing.
- Install Fixtures: Set up rough-in boxes for lighting fixtures, switches, outlets, and specialized hotel equipment (e.g., smart room controllers).
- Compliance: Ensure all installations meet National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to OSHA standards.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in residential or commercial hotel electrical work is ideal.
- Active Journeyman Electrician License or Registered Apprentice Card is ideal.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints/construction drawings.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Strong understanding of electrical rough-in techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently and safely under tight timelines.
HOURS & PAY RANGE:
- Duration: Short-term 2-3 weeks
- Location: New Braunfels, TX
- Compensation: $21-$24/hour (depending on experience)
