Modern Staffing is recruiting for a Facilities Case Aide for a non-profit organization located in New Braunfels, TX:
JOB SUMMARY
The Facilities Case Aide is a servant-minded leader dedicated to meeting the ongoing and daily needs of clients in a non-profit assistance facility. This role serves as an advocate for clients at all times, providing intake support, crisis intervention, direct care, and support services in a fast-paced environment. The position requires an individual who is a problem-solver with the ability to find ways to say “yes” to clients, consults effectively with supervisors, and ensures a warm and supportive transition for all clients. The Facilities Case Aide must also be open to giving and receiving constructive feedback with a goal of
continuous learning and professional growth.

- Works a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekend, overnight, and holiday shifts as assigned.
- Responds immediately and appropriately to all crisis calls, creating a safe, warm, and inviting space for callers to discuss their trauma.
- Answers the Crisis Hotline as a primary responsibility, providing trauma informed crisis intervention, safety planning, information, and referrals to callers.
- Provides safety planning and basic family violence education to callers and clients.
- Communicates with leadership to arrange emergency transportation for incoming clients admitted to the facility.
- Coordinates with the Case Manager to determine the best time and person to manage client intake and supports clients/families through the process.
- Provides ongoing crisis intervention and supports for facility residents.
- Arranges and provides transportation for clients as needed, by safely operating vehicles, including a van and a 14-passenger bus, while maintaining professional, respectful and trauma-informed interactions.
- Completes other tasks involving the use of shelter vehicles, including but not limited to, the procurement of shelter supplies and meals from other locations, documentation of use, and maintaining cleanliness of vehicles.
- Supports clients in setting and achieving daily and weekly goals, in coordination with Case Manager.
- Helps organize and maintain facility supply areas and common spaces.
- Ensures smooth shelter operations, including adherence to policies, maintaining a calm environment, supporting client appointments, and assisting with client participation in group meetings.
- Assists in coordinating a daily schedule of activities for all facility clients.
- Maintains timely and accurate documentation for all client files; completes forms and reports as required by supervisors.
- Attends and actively participates in staff meetings and case review meetings.
- Prioritizes confidentiality for all communications regarding clients and the agency.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related Social Services field, a plus.
- Equivalent experience considered.
- 1–2 years of experience in a social service environment preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and client management database entry required.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention, social work theory, ethics, and family violence theory preferred.
- Experience working with unhoused populations and understanding community impacts preferred.
- Ability to notice issues, gather the needed information, and resolve them by following established facility protocols and instructions.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Must possess a current, valid Texas driver’s license and proof of auto liability insurance.
- Must pass extensive background check, including fingerprinting, drug screen, and driver’s record check.
- First Aid and CPR certification required (can be completed after hire under agency guidance).
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The work is performed in a non-profit facility and office environment that is fast-paced and client-focused.
- The noise level is generally moderate but can increase during busy periods, group activities, or when children are present in the shelter.
- The employee may be exposed to individuals who are in crisis, highly stressed, or experiencing strong emotional responses related to trauma, domestic violence, sexual assault, and homelessness.
- The employee may occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions when escorting clients, transporting clients, or obtaining supplies.
- This position requires working a flexible schedule, including day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts, as assigned.
- May have frequent exposure to communicable diseases due to proximity to clients and staff.
- May have occasional exposure to irritating or caustic cleaning substances.
PAY RANGE $18-$24/hr depending on experience
SHIFT Mostly day/evening shifts between 7:00am and 11:00pm, and requires flexibility. May occasionally be needed to cover an overnight shift.
