Modern Staffing is seeking a qualified Spooler for a manufacturing company located in Seguin, TX:
JOB SUMMARY:
A primary focus is to be maintained on assigned responsibilities of safely moving materials from one location to another, and responsible for reconciliation of material in IBS system.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Good organizational skills, able to handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to safely and efficiently move material on a carriage.
- Good communication skills.
- Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.
- Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.
TRAINING PROVIDED:
- Product knowledge.
- IBS system tablets / scanner.
- First in first out (FIFO).
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsible for moving spools and carriages from extrusion into WIP area conversion machines, including scanning
- Responsible for ensuring all spool movement is scanned into the IBS system
- Responsible for maintaining organization of WIP area, first in first out.
- Responsible for moving empty spools from conversion back to extrusion.
- Responsible for complying with all OSHA, MSDS, and C-TPAT regulations as well as the companies safety program.
- Ensure that the workplace is safe, professional, clean, and conforms to good manufacturing practices and a“5s” style organizational program.
- Perform other duties as requested by management
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:- Climbing, ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized.
- Balancing, maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces.
- Stooping, bending body downward and forward by bending spine and waist.
