Modern Staffing is seeking a Metal Press Brake Operator for a manufacturing company in Seguin, TX:
Job Summary:
Structural and Miscellaneous Metal Press Brake Operator.
Summary of Duties:
Use equipment such as press brakes and rollers to form and shape various thicknesses of plate. Operator will use skills to determine best way to form and shape plate products per drawings.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately use a tape measure and other measuring tools (tri-square, framing square, etc.). • Operate press brake (350 T/100 T) to bend and form various thickness and grades of metal. • Use plate rollers to form cylinders and/or cones. • Inspect and QC formed material for accuracy. • Able to work independently without supervision. • Forklift experience a plus, but training provided. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Adhere to safety protocols.
Qualifications/Skills:
The following experience and knowledge are preferred for this position:
• Ability to look at and understand blueprints. • Experience with different grades of material, mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. • Knowledge in plate forming techniques. • Understanding of quality control.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
• Exposure to possible shop hazards including, but not limited to welding fumes, heat, flash burns, skin burns, high noise level and eye injuries from welding arc and grinders. • All work performed in shop environment. • Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs. Walking, climbing, bending, stooping, and heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling while handling material not exceeding fifty pounds

Monday through Thursday 6:30am -4:30pm Friday 6:30am - 12:00pm
