Modern Staffing is recruiting for an Entry-Level Sales Associate for a manufacturing company located in New Braunfels, TX:

JOB SUMMARY

As a sales associate, you will be responsible for assisting customers in finding and purchasing products or services. The primary role is to generate sales by providing excellent customer service and product knowledge. The position will play a crucial role in driving sales and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your main responsibilities will include assisting customers, demonstrating product features, and processing transactions. The goal will be to meet or exceed sales targets while providing exceptional service to our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES: include but not limited to:

  • Provide product knowledge and recommendations based on customer needs and preferences.
  • Demonstrate product features and benefits to customers.
  • Assist customers in making purchasing decisions and upselling additional products.
  • Assist customers’ sales orders accurately and efficiently with internal stakeholders.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall profitability of the products.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to achieve sales goals and improve customer experience.
  • Participate in sales training programs and meetings to enhance selling skills.
  • Supports identifying and pursuing sale opportunities and serving a customer base. Uses initiative, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Supports the development and implementation of sales marketing plans, pricing, and promotional programs.
  • Supports follow-up on incoming sales leads and follow-up with leads from trade shows.
  • Support Manufacturer’s Representatives, their customers, and distribution partners with inquiries, product training, pricing, and lead times.
  • Supports sales training on how to promote, market, use, and install products.
  • Participates in setting up and interfacing with visitors/customers at tradeshows.
  • Estimated travel requirements: 50% minimum.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in sales or a customer service role, or an equivalent combination of education and/or related experience. Associate Degree and experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Technology experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Skills in effectively listening, communicating verbally, and writing.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze sales documents, reports, and marketing data.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally.
  • Ability to operate and utilize Personal Computer, and other office equipment; using Microsoft Office tools and products; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Planner.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Bilingual/multilingual preferred to support international efforts (especially in Mexico).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally and/or frequently.
  • Work involves frequent periods of sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting/turning, and reaching, and bending at the waist. Office work environment.
  • Visual acuity, speech, and hearing; hand-eye coordination, utilizing near and far vision, depth perception, and manual dexterity necessary to work with various materials, and objects and operate a telephone, computer keyboard, and basic office equipment which are essential aspects of this position.
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows or MacOS. Understanding how to navigate the user interface, access programs, manage files and folders, and perform basic system operations.

PAY RATE: $20.00/hr

HOURS: Monday-Friday 8AM - 5PM
